Hawaii Dog Foundation

Staffed entirely by volunteers, the Hawaii Dog Foundation is dedicated to providing support to all dogs in the state allowing them to live long and healthy lives. The foundation supports all canines, even those with the most challenging behaviors. Its goal is to provide them with adequate shelter. A huge amount of its efforts go towards establishing a practical system so as to provide adequate foster care to dogs that need it. In addition to providing short term housing while awaiting a perfect home, the foundation also focuses on providing resources to the public including information on a variety of topics — ranging from how to be a supportive dog owner to the steps that should be taken if you are unable to continue providing for your pet.
