New American Pathways is a nonprofit organization born in 2014 as a result of the merger between Refugee Family Services (RFS) and Refugee Resettlement and Immigration Services of Atlanta (RRISA). It provides support to refugee community in Atlanta. The organization offers numerous services ranging from resettlement, education and school services, employment, immigration and citizenship assistance. New American Pathways helps over 5,000 refugees each year to rebuild their lives and become productive, contributing members of the communities.

PAWS Atlanta

Previously known as Dekalb Humane Society, PAWS Atlanta has barely changed in its mission of promoting responsible pet care. It provides medical care, shelter and training to abandoned dogs and cats until they are placed in new homes. PAWS Atlanta receives no government funding. Women’s Action for New Directions (WAND) is a national organization that strive to reduce violence and militarism. WAND empowers women to act politically on issues of nuclear disarmament, along with other issues that affect peace and security.
