Donate Car in Alabama

Here is a list of charities that will accept cars as a donation in Alabama

Habitat For Humanity Greater Birmingham

Habitat for Humanity (Greater Birmingham) is a non profit Christian ministry that is part of the larger Habitat for Humanity International. It aims to stabilize low income families by providing them affordable housing. It further makes every effort to eliminate homelessness and poor housing on a local and international level. Houses are built/repaired through a network of volunteers, which are then sold to low income families — financed at zero percent interest. The average principal payment for families living in a sponsored house is about $325 month. In addition, Habitat for Humanity renovates abandoned homes. Many families benefit from the renovation program every year. Car donations are accepted through the “Cars for Homes” Program. Proceeds from the donated car goes towards building homes in the community. It accepts cars, trucks, RVs and all other qualifying vehicles.

It funds research and provides credible and reliable information about the disorder. Car donation at ADA is a very simple process. It works in conjunction with a car donation program that will make the necessary arrangements to transfer tittles. They will also pick up the donated vehicle at no cost. Car donations go towards researching and fighting diabetes. Trucks, trailers, boats and RVs may also be donated. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama

Ronald McDonald House Charities was opened in 1979 to serve the families of children receiving pediatric care. The environment allows families to relax and feel safe while within walking distance from their sick child. Ronald McDonald’s House is the only affordable temporary housing in Birmingham. Services are available 24 hours and 365 days a year to families that need it. Services are particularly useful to those families that do not live within the vicinity of where their child receives care. All families who meet the designated criteria may stay at a minimal fee and take advantage of services that would cost five times as much if staying in a traditional lodging. Cars may be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama through the “Vehicles for charity program”. Donations allow RMHCA to sponsor and fund similar programs locally, statewide, and nationwide.

Family Services Center

Founded in 1962 to serve low income families, Family Services Center offers a program called “Donated Cars For Job Transportation”. This program makes vehicles available to under privilege families. No expense is incurred by the donor. All paperwork is processed by Family Services Center. Vehicle pick up is also arranged at no cost to the donor. The program was initially designed for families that lacked the means to buy a reliable car. The program also considers families that are unable to obtain a loan. Car donations provide local families with a means of transport, which in turn allows them to maintain and keep jobs that would have been otherwise lost to lack of transportation. Family Services Center is a non-profit organization, and is qualified to receive deductible charitable contributions — cars included.
